The most important difference between Diablo 3 and other options given here, in my opinion, is the multiplayer. The dungeons are regenerated each time quite similarly, but there are a ton and they will add more in future expansions, and the Adventure Mode in the RoS expansion adds a very non-linear and fun way of replaying those dungeonsĪs said above, your character's power will continuously grow with levels and better itemsĪnd lastly, the monsters strength is based off of your level and difficulty which ranges from Easy to Torment (Torment has its own set of difficulties, 1 - 6, with the highest being extremely difficult for almost any character There is no level cap with Paragon Levels, allowing you to increases your character's power indefinitely (it's diminishing returns though) Now I understand it's not exactly a roguelike (or even lite), and its not cheap either, but Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls (the expansion, you need the base game) fits nearly all the things you're looking for.
